A Perfume is a part for everyone. It is the message we choose to leave behind. Our code. How we "declare" our presence and at the same time, a recall in memory. An art and science together. Notes that respond to each other. Thus, the process of choosing a perfume and coming to terms with what smell it expresses us is very special.
Basic types of perfumes:
Eau de Toilette: Contains 4-10% aromatic oils and is very popular, as it can be worn comfortably both in the morning and in the evening, leaving a pleasant feeling and smell on the skin.
Eau de Parfum: Its content of aromatic oils ranges between 8-15% and has a strong odor. It is widespread in the women's range of perfumes.
Notes and olfactory pyramid
To understand perfumes you have to see them as a pyramid divided into three levels - layers (top, middle level, base).
Top notes, the lightest notes. The top is the surface character of the perfume, that is, what we first smell when we try a perfume.
Middle notes, which is the heart of the perfume. Here we have a greater variety of ingredients, since we find flowers, fruits, spices or herbs.
The base notes that leave behind the most intense expression. The base consists of notes of wood, which have the longest duration of the other two groups. These ingredients are the least volatile, so they are released from the skin after a long time.
